I have no script tooltips talked about on page 17 in the "Additional Script Features".

Yes I have the option checked in Tools/Options/Script.

Yes I'm using a Opus function - CreateClock() etc,

They'd be awfully useful. Has everyone else got them?

:(

Thanks

Melanie

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The tooltip should appear as soon as you type the opening bracket after the function name, so please try the following:

- Launch Opus and create a blank new publication
- Add a script object to the page (Insert > Script Object)
- In the script editor, carefully type the following:

CreateClock(

As soon as you type the open bracket, a small blue tooltip should appear on screen stating the following:

Object CreateClock( name,variable,format = "[hh]:[mm]:[ss]" )
Return: Clock object if created, Null if not
name - name for the clock object

Please let me know if you have any problems.

Kind regards,

Hi Robin,

I don't get Tooltips either. Is not the reason for this, due to win9x and Win 2000 OS' :?:

Hmm...it might be something to do with Windows 95, 98 and ME being unable to display semi-opaque overlays. Please try the following:

- Click Tools > Options and select the Script option
- Ensure that Show function tips is enabled
- Now select the General option under the View settings
- In the Tooltip settings, drag the Transparency slider all the way to the left
- Click OK to confirm the changes
- Now open a Script Object, type in a function followed by an open bracket and see if the tooltip displays.

Please let me know the outcome.

Kind regards,

Mine is greyed out too!! (and always has been)

I was informed by DW before that our OS' are unable to generate semi-transparent overlays.

We are unclean!

If this is an OS problem, does that mean that all win 9X users can't get the script tooltips?

DW,
Please could the default setting for tooltips be changed to non-transparent with a checkbox for transparency (mit slider)? So that win 9x users could have access to this useful functionality?

Could I request it to be considered for the next service release?

Thanks

Melanie :)
