I'm reinstalling everything on a new pc.

I've always kept all the Opus versions, but now there seems too many to reinstall... but I want to make sure I've got the right versions if I need to update old pubs I've done.

So... I've already installed ILM and the latest Opus 4 Pro XE.

Am I right in thinking that Pro XE 2.8 is the other version that I should install in order to cover all pubs? Is this the one before the text engine update?

If so... searching through all the physical disks here, I've found, I think, 2.6. Will there still be an update file online to get to 2.8, or do I need to ask for one to be sent?

Thank you for your enquiry.

Your Opus Pro XE 2.8 CD-ROM will allow you to work on old Illuminatus Opus and Illuminatus Opus Pro publications without having to update them to the new 04 text engine (although this import process was greatly improved in Service Release 3).

2.8 is not the most up-to-date version so, once you have installed this, simply download and install the 2.81 update from ftp://ftp.digitalworkshop.com/pub/opusu ... _SR281.exe to bring it up to the final build number.

You should now have the following three versions installed (you can double-check the installed version number by launching the program and clicking Help > About > System Information):

Illuminatus 4.51
Illuminatus Opus Pro XE 2.81
Opus Pro XE 04.50

Please let me know if your version numbers do not match the above and I will advise you as to the best update route.

I now have all the correct versions (and can delete the 72 redundant ones...)
