Having reinstalled everything, can someone remind me how to get rid of the text in the frame that says "Double-click to edit this frame" and see the name of the frame instead?

Location: Digital Workshop
Tools -> Options -> View category -> General page -> Empty Object Label Mode - change it to "Classic (Object Name)"
