If working with more than 15 image files in a slideshow, ordering becomes dificult as only 6 files are visable within the files selection window.

Can this be extended to accomodate more files (slides)?

It is possible to resize the properties dialog and increase the viewable area of the Slide Show list. Simply drag the textured bottom-right edge of the dialog box to the bottom-right as shown below:

Ok..try this one.

How about being able to click on a slide file and add a text overlay via a new options window. This text overlay responds to all actions applied to the slide show.

Nice idea - we will investigate this further and see if it is possible to include this in a future update.

MultiFrames are what you want to be using - that way you can have anything you like on each slide (frame).

You're going to want to put Multiframes at the top of your "to do" list. Here's the concept overview:

Multiframes
In a regular Frame you can put different Objects: Images, Text, Videos, Vectors, etc.

Now imagine you want different groups of items all visible at once, like text with a slideshow in one Frame; and text with a video in a second Frame; and text with a single Image in the third Frame. You could create Action codes using Show and Hide to turn the three Frames on/off, but OPUS has already done that in Multiframes.

Select the Multiframe icon, then oversize the area where you want your "stuff" to appear. By default, OPUS creates a single, empty Frame. Let's rename it Frame 1.

Go to the Organizer in the left window; highlight the Multiframe, and right mouse click. Select Add Frame to End. Rename that Frame 2. Do this two more times for a total of 4 Frames.

Highlight/select Frame 2 in the Organizer. Now add a Slideshow and a Text Object. Highlight Frame 3 and put a Video Object and a Text Object. Highlight Frame 4 and add an Image Object and a Text Object.

You COULD have your new Multiframe automatically go through your frames over and over like a continuous running Slideshow. Let's create three Button Objects outside the Multiframe. Use an Action of Multiframe, Select Specific Frame. Make sure you highlight/select your Multiframe object in the right hand window and then select Frame 2 for the first Button. Copy your Action and paste it into Actions for Button 2, but then change the Frame to 3; repeat with your third Button, making the Frame number 4.

Do a Preview. When you click each Button you will see the contents of each separate Frame. No need to code Show and Hide.
