In earlier versions I had the Show Selected icon (the box with an eye inside) on my customised toolbar, and I swear it worked like a toggle on and off.... so I'd have all the objects I wanted seen on screen, then I'd select one, click "Show selected" to see just that one, then click it again for the others to appear again.

In 05XE it seems to work differently... it does hide everything else, but clicking it again has no effect. I CAN then use show all, but this shows stuff I didn't have visible in the first place.

Is there another option that "undoes" the show selected?

btw: I've been working all night, so apologies if that's very long winded.... I'm all out of brain.

Linda

Sorry Linda, we haven't changed anything in that area and it seems to be working fine for me. Does using the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+W) make any difference (there's no reason it should - it calls the same code but I'm grasping for ideas here! ;-))

Duncan,

I've found the difference.... it's when the objects are in layers.

Then the "show selected" button hides all the other objects in the layer at the first click, but doesn't show them back again on the second click.

Can this be fixed in time, do you think?

Linda
