hi,

while i create a cd-rom i usually have to mail frequently to my customer, the working publish cd-rom (that allow he to "drive" me more precisely).
It could be interesting when publishing, to have an option which indicate only the ilm file that has been change since the last publishing (i use "create executable and data file for Each File" because i can mail it file by file more easily). That could be interesting because we'll have only to mail the ilm file that has been change.

The program i was using before Opus, has a very usefull function : It allow to have update of your cdrom (you send the minor update (light file)to the customer and he has just to execute it on his Pc to update the Cd-rom (the initial cd-rom is of course on his PC's hard drive). That program allow too to "remote" by internet a digital signage solutions (example : your customer have a digital signage with day news... you can update it daily if need it... cool)

That is my wish but now i have a question : when i use "create executable and data file for Each File", how is it possible actually to find the ilm file that correspond to my different page in the cd-rom (000000a.ilm, 000000b.ilm, 0000001.ilm.... : how does the program work to numbered the file)

thank you
benoit

Install creators (like Wise) can do patches from previous versions that (in theory anyway) only include the bits that have changed. So you might be able to use something like that to do what you want.

I think they're just numbered in the order of the pages in the publication.
