Hi,
Im making an application with a text box that automatically reads a file (.rtf).
I can make an text box in the opus editor, edit the text adding some hyperlinks and then save it as a .rtf file. On runtime, i want to get the saved .rtf text, including the formats and links i have defined.
Is there any way o keep the links on the .rtf file?

Thanks

Hi Abstracto
Unfortunately you can't create a hyperlink on an rtf file unless you use the hypertext markup language (html). You can write the file using the appropiate html tags and produce the hyperlink that way and then you save the page as "whatevername.html" instead of saving it as .rtf.
Then you can call this hml page by creating a "browser field" from inside the opus publication.
You can use any of the free available software to create your html page if you don't know html.
I hope this helps

German,
Is correct but if you use the html route you will only be able to link to WebPages and not interact with Opus. The only way I can see to do this is to reproduce the text as a standard text object by copying and pasting your text into a text object and adding your hypertext.

Hi Brendan, your approach is also correct! but I thought that Abstracto want to have the option to call the file into Opus rather that use a normal textbox and create the hyperlinks that way.

Cheers
