Post subject: trouble in retiring a tick
PostPosted: July 13th, 2005, 9:15 pm
Hi
I'm having a lot of troubles when I try to eliminate a tick related with transitions. Thanks in advance for any tip. I attach a picture that can help to explain better.

Best Regards

Note by Duncan: Hope you don't mind - I've replaced the huge image with a smaller version that shows just the important section.

Don't have Opus in front of me to try this but I think you have to have a transition selected first before you can change this.

Page transitions are always exclusive - nothing else can go on while a page transition is happening.

Hi

Well the problem remains that I need to put sound start at the opening of the page and I can do it because the transition occurs in the first 5 seconds and I need the sound effect synchronized with the opening. I tried a timeline with the sound opening at 00.00 but still doesn't work.
Any sugestion?
Thanks.

You could put all your page objects in a frame. Set the frame backgound the same as your page background, remove the background from your page and then put the transition on the frame not the page.

The great thing about OPUS is you normally can accomplish things in a variety of different ways. What you want to do is a good example. I'm suggesting you "keep it simple."

I would suggest having the start of the audio occur as the last item on the previous Page. If this is the first visible Page in your Pub, then create a New first Page (with NO Transition) and make it black or white (so it looks "invisible"), then have it start the audio, then immediately do a Forward Page Action so your Page #2 Transition will be seen with the audio.

If this Page is selected from a Previous Page or Menu, then have a Click Left Mouse Trigger on the Previous Page with two Actions: 1) Play Sound; 2) Go To Page xx. Again, the audio will start, then the Exclusive Page Transition will be displayed.
