Hi
have a new project where we need to add speech bubble shapes (various sizes and directionals).

*have coral 8 but cant seem to get the 'envelope' bit to place bubbles in correct shape.

*also have PSPro 6.02.. cant find any bubbles!

both progs are a little behind in 'latest release', but what would be the simplest way to get hold of a batch of bubbles so we can crack on with our delightful cartoony type project?

thanks

Can I suggest you look at XaraX1 available from www.Xara.com.

This is a fairly inexpensive, brilliant drawing programme for quick, easy and high quality work. I frequently use it to draw and import into Opus, with excellent results. One of the included galleries has some callouts and think bubbles.

There are a few of these in the Webdings font. You can always put them in as text and then convert them to vectors from the text drop down menu. See attached.

To open the imp file either go to the file drop down menu and select open or drag the imp file on to the organizer pane in Opus.

Yes, it would be the version

I've moved it into 2.81 for you.

For those posting things like this it should be noted that while
.imp files are not backward compatible, .gly (gallery) files
usually are.

Cheers
Chris

It's a pain!

I too use Adobe Audition and they use the file extension .imp

I just have to make sure I open the program first and then open rather than a double click!

My imps are associated with Opus rather than Audition..

as for speech bubbles - dare I say it ?
there are some autoshapes - callouts in powerpoint that you could export as a wmf file. Rigt click on the bubble and then saveas picture...
choose a name and wmf as extension.

Go in to Opus and Draw - import vector

bob's your uncle!
