I've been experimenting with the DVD Creator. I've got a few questions, but it's easier to ask them one at a time... so....

- Is it OK to have more than one hotspot on a menu page?

I'm trying to have two hotspots that lead to two presentations, but only one ever seems to work.

Yes. It wouldn't be a very good menu if you could only have one hotspot. The limit is 20.

Linda,

If you are still having problems please feel free to send a copy of the menu page to support@digitalworkshop.com and we will be happy to take a look at it, all we need is the IMP file.

Regards

<<Yes. It wouldn't be a very good menu if you could only have one hotspot>>

I figured that was the answer

So... more clues please....

1 - they can't be buttons, but must be Hotspots?

2 - Does the order in which they highlight in the final dvd file depend on the order of them in the list in Opus?

3 - Is there any way of previewing the DVD with Opus as it would actually be... (I'm trying to take a multimedia and turn it into a DVD, and can't tell what works until I publish each time, which is a lengthy process)

4 - A scenario.... I have an existing multimedia which I want to turn into a DVD.

So I add a menu page with a link to the multimedia.

Now I want to record the mouse movements of the multimedia so that the moves from page to page are recorded. Id I use the record button though, it records from the beginning.

So do I just temporarily move the menu whilst I'm recording, or is there a move technical way of doing this?

I suspect that this is a brilliant feature, and really want to get to grips with it more.

They can be anything with a mouse press - goto page action, so they can be buttons. But they won't depress like buttons on the DVD.

No, it attempts to order them automatically based on position.

Yes it should work more or less the same in preview.

Just record all your mouse/keyboard movements for the whole publication going through each menu item in turn. When it creates the DVD, it will ignore the recording for menu pages, so the menu pages will still work as a menu, but everything else will play by itself.
