I had previously installed Opus 05.13 PRO XE and upgraded to 05.14 and I am getting the error seen in the attached image. When I press ok the install completes and it seems that Opus is running properly and has upgraded to 05.14. Is this a problem? If it is how can I resolve this?

I encountered this error message, too.

That should not happen - just out of interest are you Evolution customers?

The simplest solution is to uninstall completely (this will not lose your settings or publication files, but if you have customised any of the standard galleries you need to copy them somewhere else first), reinstall from your 05.00 (or 05.10 if you're Evolution) CD and then apply the new patch.

I'm not an Evolution customer, Duncan.

However, Opus 5 does open as version 5.14 without any obvious problems.

What problems are we likely to encounter, or are there facets of the new release which won't run?

Yes I am an Evolution customer and I will try your solution.

In this instance everything will probably be OK, but any future patches will fail to apply. If you can spare the time it would pay to do the uninstall/reinstall/patch procedure to get a clean upgrade.

Likewise. Seems to be OK here, now, also.

Thanks

... where did you find the 5.14 patch? Is this a SR2 for opus 05? I could not found any information about it in the announcement section.

05.14 is a minor update to correct a small issue with the initial release of SR1. It has simply replaced the earlier version of SR1.

Hello mac,

15,922 KB -- I think you have the initial SR1 05.13 Service Release. As Duncan says the newest SR is 05.14 (file size 15,846 KB as far as I know) and replaces the earlier version.

When you load Opus it will display what version you have on the opening splash screen.

SR1 and SR-1b might have made sense. :)
