I have designed a website which contains some opus quizzes which I am burning putting unto Cd. I have tried downloading the Plug-in unto the Cd but when you try to open any opus quizzes (even if you have installed opus plug-in from the Cd) it looks for it on the web and won't run any of the quizzes - please help!!

Hello,
Have you told the pub where to look for the plugin?
You have to setup this at the time of publishing.
German.

Whatever you pay for upgrading to OPUS XE -- it's definitely worth it. The additional features in XE make this a "must have" for a professional multimedia builder.

Upgrade to XE today. You won't regret it.

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

If the quizzes are going to be running from CD, the most logical solution would be to publish your projects as standalone executables. You do not have to modify your existing projects in any way - simply open the projects back into Opus, click Publication > Publish and select the 'Create a Standalone Executable' option).

This will eliminate any need for the iO-plugin to be installed on the end-users machine and will also make it much easier to configure the CD to autorun when inserted (as Opus automatically creates the necessary 'autorun.inf' file in the publish directory and this can be burned to CD with the publication files).

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards,
