I have a bunch of buttons distributed across an image with a hand cursor showing when mouseovered.

If I show a new frame over the page the mouse still responds to the now concealed buttons by becoming a hand, although the 'disable click through' :?: option for that frame is ticked...

This gives the impression that there is something to click on when the button is hidden.
Any ideas?
:?:

Hi Mac,

The buttons may be concealed but only because you have a Frame masking the buttons. You need to "Hide" the buttons, then their mouse-over cursors will not display. So probably a suggestion for you is to have an On-Show trigger on the Frame to Hide the buttons, and an On-Hide trigger on the same Frame to "Show" the buttons again.

"Stop mouse clicks passing through" does not effect mouse-overs or cursors. It is so when you click on the object, any objects underneath (that also have assigned mouse-click triggers), will not be affected.

might be a beneficial feature if DW made the stop clicks passing through include stop mouse-overs passing through.

Yes I agree. There are times when hiding is not desired and disabling is more suitable. And with mouse pointer changing while disabled doesn't seem to make a lot of sence to me (IMHO).

Hello,

Try this work around:

Select the frame.
Open the properties window.
Open the Tab Cursors.
Select another cursor than arrow.
Push the button [apply].
Select the cursos arrow.
Push the button [apply] again.

Now the frame will show the arrow and not the cursor of the buttons behind the frame.

Kind regards,

This is a handy tip, Oscar.

May I add it even works on empty invisible frames. It just goes to show how versatile Opus is! :D

Neat tip - however I don't think mouse pointer states are dynamic at runtime.

You may have misunderstood - dynamic at runtime meaning, changing the states of the mouse pointer at runtime. As far as I'm aware it can't be done, but I'd be happily overruled here.
