It has come to our attention the latest release of QuickTime 7 has a bug that means it does not support QuickTimeVR via its programming API. This means that programs that implement QuickTimeVR support, such as Opus Pro XE, do not work with version 7. Opus will work but the VR movies will not display.

We have confirmation direct from Apple that they are aware of the issue but they currently have no ETA for a fix.

In the meantime if you are using QuickTimeVR with Opus, please do not upgrade to version 7. Thank you.

Apple have just released QuickTime 7.1 which fixes the bug that caused QuickTime VR to fail to work in Opus. It is now safe to upgrade to QuickTime 7 if you are using VR support in your Opus XE publications

Click here for QuickTime 7.1 on its own
Or here if you want iTunes bundled in with it
