Hi

I'm setting up a variable (<pathname1>to store viewer input for the name they enter in a text input box for a storage folder in their document directory.

Not experienced with Windows folder/file naming conventions, should I add a viewer instruction not to use certain symbols like slashes(/), other instructions, etc.?

Once they enter their name for this folder, it will become part of actions like copy and delete files, so I would prefer to get the syntax required, if any, for naming correct.

Something like SYSTEM_DOCUMENTS_DIR\<pathname1>\ would be part of these actions, plus the file names, in a copy file or delete file action.

I would appreciate any assistance.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

In the Input Box text Properties Tab, you can disable special characters from being used.

Does that help?
