Just noticed that Corel announced a new version CorelDRAW this week version X3. I have always found CorelDRAW as the best tool for creating vector graphics (EMF) for Opus publications. The new version contains a new tool which I will find very useful for Opus, it enables you to reduce the number of nodes in a vector object.

This is perfect for reducing the number of nodes for vectors to be imported into Opus, as the less nodes produce smaller vector files which render quicker. Ideal for Flash publications or animation.

i bought corel draw x3 last week and the reduce node feature is fantastic and does exactly what it says on the tin.

it's a great feature for streamlining vectors for export to EMF before bring them into Opus.
