Good evening.

I downloaded Opus and am happy with it. However, I notice a sync problem between the publication and the .exe. I explain:

I have a very simple animation, with text overlapping using the scroll transition effect from right to left. The configuration is as follows:

First set of text:
Timing, display for 3 seconds
Transition, On Show, Scroll Left, 1 second
Transition, On Hide Scroll Left, 1 second
BOTH NOT EXCLUSIVE

Second set of text:
Initially hidden, display after 4.4 seconds and display for 3 seconds
The rest is same as previous.

Basically it plays fine in Opus but after publishing to .exe the sync goes bezerk because of a delay in the seconds. If I modify the length, that is, the "Show for" property, it will be the other way round, works fine in .exe but not in Opus.

I tried enabling EXCLUSIVE, but didn't help. Any suggestions?

I can't think why you would have this problem, but you could try using a timeline, which is a much easier way of co-ordinating timings.

Are these timings shown immediately on the very first page of your publication? Though I found no problems in performing a test EXE, it can sometimes be beneficial to appreciate that Opus is 'loading' the pub, so the very first timing events are taken into consideration. You simply can design these accordingly.

See attached IMP that shows a more rigid way of timing using the On-Hide Action, plus another example showing the use of a simple Timeline. (both accomplishing what you desired in your timings)

Thank you both for the replies. I'll check timelines out but in the meantime Steve H's solution seems to work. Actually I managed to solve the problem by hiding the first set of text and instructing it to appear after 2 seconds and that solved my problem most likely for the reason mentioned by Steve H, that is, when loading the .EXE, the very first page of the publication suffers from a delay because of loading.
