Hi,

I'm making a drag and drop puzzle, i have a few pieces to be dragged which i want to display one at a time.

See the mock up graphic to get the idea. I'm not sure how I should implement it. The problem I'm having at the moment is scrolling through the shapes. As once it has been dropped it should stay dropped and not be shown again.

Also I need all the shapes to be kept as vectors. Any help would be great.

Hi Joe,

I suspect that the scrollable objects are within a Frame. You cannot 'drag' from within a Frame to outside of the Frame. Yet going by your screenshot, you state that the objects actually get dropped. Could you supply a simple mock-up IMP demonstrating the issue per your screenshot? I will take a look (and I'm sure others will help). :)

Re: vector question...
All the shapes can be kept as vectors. This should be no problem. Was there any issue with this query?

You could use a Multi Frame, as Steve said you will need to have your dragable objects on the same frame as the target objects.
In the attached example all the target objects are copied on each frame.

Thanks for the help everyone,

The multiframe option I tried but it keeps showing and hiding the dropped objects. The objects to be dropped and the drop zones are different colors so cannot.

Currently I have the vectors showing & hiding with the button being clicked. I'm trying to use an array to store which objects are dropped so it isn't hidden and shown from the drag zone.

If you want the object to stay shown you could use the Multi Frame example and then have a hidden droped object with an action to show when the correct object is dropped and hide the original object.
