Hello,
I would like to know if anyone knows of a way to create a table in a text object in Opus. I'm not referring to the type of table that is discussed in the help file. I am talking about word processing type table - you know, with rows and columns with text in them.

I am doing a technical writing type of project, and would love to be able to include If/Then tables.

Thanks,
Mike

Perhaps I'm missing something, but have you tried this:

1. draw a text object the size of a table cell.
2. right-click on the text object
3. select QuickBuild > Create Table and fill in the requirements

Opus does not support tables within text objects. There are a number of possible solutions:

1) Use a DocView to include an RTF document, with tables etc.

2) You could put text and tables (using on frames), inside another frame which you can then add a scrollbar if necessary.

Hi Sentosa,
Thanks for the reply. That does indeed give me the appearance of a table, but not really the functionality there-of. And it would be a suitable workaround except for the fact that I really need it to be within a scrolling text box.
But I certainly appreciate the input.

Hi Duncan, thanks for the reply. I may indeed try option 1. I really don't want to do option 2, because when I was using 2.81 I did a big project with lots of images that needed to be embedded in scrolling text, and option 2 is how I did it. If it's anything like it was in 2.81, it is a lot of work.
Thanks a lot,
Mike
