The line fade transition gets three quarters of the way through, then jumps to the end.

(Try it with a large block of colour on a white page)

It was just what I was after.... have you got a decent version of it?

Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda

I get an uneven fragmented appearance. Then at about the 70% mark, it momentarily stops before proceeding to an uneven finish.

Is that what you mean?

Linda,

Try unzipping and copying the attached jpg into the Transitions/Special Reveals subdirectory of your Opus installation. It has been blurred more than the original so its less distinct which makes it appear smoother - hope its more what you want.

I wonder if anyone can throw some light on this?

I downloaded and unzipped Paul's file into my Transitions/Special Reveals subdirectory.

When I tried to apply it to the test I made for Linda, this reveal did not appear in the list of available transitions.

I checked the subdirectory, and Other06.jpg is definitely there. Then, things became even more interesting. That subdirectory contains 53 files, including Others01 through Others14.

The attachment is a screen shot of all the Special Reveals that appear when I access Transitions > Special Reveals. There are only 32 transitions in the group. Notice that there is only Other01.

I realise that some of the files in the subdirectory are configuration files, but it seems odd that there is this discrepency.

I checked Masked.ini. There are 53 entries, including one which reads:

[38]
Name=Line Fade
Type=GradAlpha
Icon=Special
Offset=31
Mask=Other06.jpg

Is this of any relevance?

While I couldn't see that it was a likely solution, I reset the Opus registry. That made no difference.

Any ideas, anyone?

Hi Ray,

It is the "Line Fade" icon which gets updated by the "Other06.jpg" file. ;)

Thanks Steve

That solves the Line Fade issue.

Any ideas why there are so many "missing" items?

There is nothing missing. The transitions are simply renamed to something a little more constructive than "other" as indicated by the ini file.

As has been pointed out the file I uploaded, updated the "Line Fade" transition which is what Linda asked for. There is no need to do anything beyond unzip it as I described.

Hope that helps clarify things.

Paul Harris
