Hi

I'm starting a project that will display a photo image (the image is set to appear on the screen for a fraction of a second) after a 5 second delay following entering a page. I'd like to craft a 5,4,3,2,1 countdown with a little more than just these numbers. Sort of like the Flash animations with a clockwise-circling arrow and the numbers in the center. The countdown will give the viewer a warning that the photo image is about to flash into view for a split second and then disapppear.

Can anyone point me the the right direction so that I can devise this countdown to precede the display?

Any ideas would be much appreciated. :)

Kind Regards,
Stephen

You could try something like the attached example. It will need polish, but may give you something to get you started.

Thanks Brenden

I'll give it a try. :)

Hi Stephen,

Adding to Brenden's excellent example, here's another approach using the Rotate() concept. After the countdown, it briefly shows the image. It is done in script but could easily be done in non-script, as I just noticed this is the "basics" forum area. (oops!)

Opus is such an excellent program, as there are so many ways you can achieve the same result. :D

(there are probably some "countdown" animated gifs that could be usuable too)

Thanks, Steve!

A wonderful example. The scripting is quite sophisticated.

Opus has many fantastic capabilities!
