:( I have spent many a happy hour working on my publication in Opus Creator 5.5.

When I run the Pub from within Creator it works perfectly. However, I thought it was time to actually write it to an exe file to see how it looks.

Creator claims to have written the file but when I try to run it it lasts for about 8 seconds before returning me to the editor.

Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong. I know that I haven't given much detail but short of putting the whole project on line I can't think where to start!! :(

Frank,

Are you getting any error messages when you publish?
(You can check the option to only show errors when publishing to make them easier to look for.)

How big is you finished publication?

The more details you are able to provide the more likely we will be to find an answer to the question.

I got an error message the first time round but I solved that problem. Each time I attempt to publish it says that I have done so successfully! :?

The exe file is 3,632,747
Backup zip file inc resources is 1,239,233
.imp file is 327,680

I am using an unregistered version (day 27 but I'm not purchasing unless this can be sorted!)

:D Very strange!!:D

I decided to delete my opening page (a fairly complex Splash Screen) and rebuild it step by step. Although it is identical in all respects it now works properly.

Happy but confused! :?

Frank --

Glad you were able to "fix" whatever was wrong. OPUS is an amazing software product. I've used many multimedia development tools over the years, and by far -- OPUS is the best. You will be making a wise and very cost effective decision if you purchase OPUS when your evaluation version runs out. In only 30 days, you've just started to see the power of this product.

I need to get a new World Atlas. Where are you located? We've had reports that our friends south of the equator, in the land down under, occasional have to turn their computers "upside down" :D to solve really complex problems.

Leicestershire is pretty well near the centre of England in a region known as the East Midlands - a beautiful area unless you demand mountains of which Leicestershire has a lack.

I've purchased my license for Creator.
