I have in my index page (page N°1) in opus the full list of pages (html) that I should want to open in a browser in page N°2.
How can I open a page with a browser with a specific file html inside?
Thanks
silvia

Hi,
You don't say which version of OPus you are using but nevertheless the procedure is the same. There is a great temptation to use 'insert an Internet Browser' because it is for htm/html documents however I use 'insert a DocView frame'.

I have to assume at this stage that your 'listofpages.html' will be in the <SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> when your publication is finally published i.e. it will be co-resident with the publication .exe file.

1. Go to your page No2 and then 'insert a DocView frame'and stretch as necessary to fill the page.
2. The DocView control panel will now be in view.
3. In the panel you will see an empty data entry box entitled 'File name of source document to view' -
in this box type the following
<SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR>listofpages.html

4. Click OK and thats it.

Point to note here: If you preview the publication your html page will 'not be found' however when you publish the publication and test it, the html page will come in to view straight away.

As an additional piece of information - this technique can be used to view pdf, xls, doc, ppt etc etc.

If you wanted to keep the <SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> clutter free then it may well be you would prefer to keep all your html files in a separate folder - lets call the folder 'htmlpages'and that your 'listofpages.html' is sitting in that folder with the publication.exe file directly on the outside of this folder. In the DocView control panel you would type in the following path
<SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR>\htmlpages\listofpages.html

Hope this helps
Regards
John

thanks for the answer. :D
I will try your solution, but I think it 'll work only if I will have my html pages outside the .ilm file when published, isn't it?
I need my html pages protected , embedded in opus, cause the content is the real value of my work.
I need the most visible space for browser in the page, this is why I wanted an index page not in the same page of browser.
Thanks for the tip of using DocView!!

P.s. I have just purchased opus pro 5.5 but I worked with illuminatus 4.5 for years
