Hi

Inexperienced at creating web publications, I am having a difficult time:
(1) I initially had difficulty getting the uploaded .htm and .ilm web pub files to play. Checking an older Forum posting from last year provided the solution: I uninstalled and re-installed the mime type on the server for the .ilm file, and this worked! (There's a wealth of knowledge contained in the old Forum postings.)

(2) I'm still having difficulty creating the correct pathname for images that I want to open using buttons. While using <SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> + the file name (and using \\ in scripts) works fine for an executable version of my pub, I found it doesn't work for the web pub version.

What I've done is set up a variable called <photo1> for the image (variable placed as the location in the image properties tab). Then I've set up a few image files as variables: <sample1> <sample2> and <sample3>. I've scripted the samples, for example: var sample1 = ("SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR\\Samples\\abc.jpg") where Samples is the folder and abc.jpg is one of three actual image files. Then when photo1 = sample1, the button should summon abc.jpg and display it in the image box. In the executable version, it works fine. In the web upload version (I uploaded the Samples folder along with the .htm and .ilm files to the website), clicking on the button produces nothing. I've tried a number of options (uploaded image files, no folder and removed SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR from the pathname, etc.) and still can't get the button to open any of these image files in the web pub.

Any help, especially, the image pathname for the web pub, would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Thanks to the DW support team for their suggestions by e-mail.

I decided to create a work-a-round for the issue, which keeps the 3 image files in the pub and makes use of 3 overlapping image boxes, hidden and shown by buttons.

As usual, Opus provides extraordinary versatility in achieving needed outcomes. :)

Kind Regards,
Stephen
