If I've got an object on screen. When I look at it's properties, I'm given the co-ordinates for its four corners.

However, if I use a Animation action to move the object TO specific co-ordinates, the figures it uses seem to be related to the CENTRE of the object.

I'm trying to move an object to a specific place.... so within the working screen, I duplicate it for working purposes, and drag the duplicate about until I'm happy with its end position.

But from this end position, then I've got to do some maths to work out the centre co-ordinates that the Animation action needs.

This just seems way too complicated for a simple move. How else do I find out the centre co-ordinates of an object?

Linda,

You could use a simple script on a ticker trigger, to keep track of an object.

Simple change the name of the object in the script you want to keep track of and add object can be dragged. I know this is not in the editor but it is so simple it may work for you.

See attached example:

Linda --

When you put your pointer on ANY Object, look at the Status line at the bottom of your monitor. It has a bunch of numbers including "Mid(300,200" which tells you the numbers you need to use to Animate the Object to a specific spot on the Page.
