I've brought this up before, and the answer was - "It woirks OK here".

Well, I have to say, ikt doesn't work here, and I'd like to know if there is something I should set in the options or cusomisation lists.

I am using two monitors, each the same size and set to the same resolution.

I have Opus spread over the two monitors - my 'workspace window' on the left, and all the rquired toolboxes etc, and the Porperties window, on the right. I have tried with the Main Opus window over the left monitor only (so the toolboxes are effectivel=y over the desktop. And I have tried with the main window stretched over both monitors - so the toolboxes 'float' over the main Opus window background.

Either way, when I switch on again for a new session, the tools and windows are always repositioned and resized, so I have to spend 5 mionutes or so resizing and repositioning everything to my preferred layout scheme.

If this isn't happening to other people, please tell me what/where/how I can correct the situation here.

Thanks.

Opus is developed and tested on multi-monitor systems and we have not seen any problems like those you are describing. Do your video drivers have any options that attempt to force windows onto a specific monitor? What sort of video card is it?

Thanks for the speedy response Duncan.

Amended information...
Its an ATI Radeon X800 Pro. I use the dual monitors mainly for video editing - the video editing program I use detects dual monitors and offers 7 dual monitor layouts. Otrherwise, for other programs, I use the Windows 'Display manager settings' to split the screen onto two monitors.

Both monitors are set to the same resolution.

Making Opus 'full screen', it occupies only one monitor - in order to get it to occupy two, I have to click on the middle icon' of the three at the top right of a windows frame: I suspect this may be where things are going wrong - I should be doing it a different way??

OK ... I thiink I have 'solved' the problem. Whew!!

I 'docked' all of the tool windows to the right side of the main window in a preferred way. That sticks. It was when they were floating toolboxes that the layout wasn't retained between sessions.

Glad to hear you've managed to sort it out.
