I've got a paragraph of text, formatted as I want.

In the middle of it, I need to add the text "3rd".

However, every time I time in the "3rd" the font changes colour and goes tiny.

How do I turn this unwanted effect off?

Thanks, Linda

... and once I've got the font right again, how can I get the "rd" of 3rd back on the bottom line?

Thanks

OK... I've figured how to fix it all.

But the first question remains.... can I turn off the feature altogether?

Hi Linda,
In Tools/Options/General/More/Automatic text format -- uncheck Other (Fractions ... )

Talking of options, I'm sure there's one that says whether you see initially hidden objects when exporting a page... but I've gone through all the Options choices, and can't see it.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanka
