Hello,

Over the last couple of years, many problems with listbox styles and hypertext styles have been reported, especially with custiom styles, but problems still remain. Any word on resolution progress? 5.14 was supposed to have fixed the issues, but I'm using 5.5

Is it possible for me to download version 5.14 and work in it instead of 5.5? If I did, would the project I started in 5.5 work in it or not?

I've opened smaller pubs made in 5.5 with 5.14 and 5.0 without obvious problems so you should be ok, althought in the other direction I have two pubs made in 5.0 that did not like it when I tried to use 5.5 to edit text in them.

standard rule applies here -- work on a backup until you are sure it won't come back and haunt you later.

I tried 5.14, and I'm still getting the problem. I think what's happening is one of 2 things:

(1)Having 2 custom styles in use (even on seperate pages) messes things up royally

or

(2)When you create a new style and apply it to your list box, it also applies it to all the hypertext in your regular text boxes, also.

The Hypertext styles that I have customized are not sticking!

I have created a hypertext style with the mouse over style having a 1 pixel offset. save it and preview is fine. Then I close the pub and reopen and the shadow ofset is set to 3 pixels??? I then try to reedit it to 1 px and it looks fine in preview till I close and open the pub and the shadow offset resets itself to 3 pixels. I am hitting apply in each step. The 3 pixel offset is too much making the text very hard to read.

Any workarounds/fixes out there?
