Opus: Pro 7.6
OS: Vista 64
System: Vista 64, HP, 6GB RAM. Basically "Out of the box" with no special graphics. Very robust.
I use Pro 5.5.....

I added a transition to an simple text object. I also added a sound to the same transition, using the QuickBuild feature.

I copied the oject to a new publication, and now I am 'Missing Resources".

In the first place, the resouce is not missing; it is in the expected path, and location, so that is a problem in itself, but I don't have the time to
deal with that.

But, I'm more interested in removing the 'transition sound' ?

If there is a way, it is not apparent to me.

(Obviousely I can work around this problem by creating a new object, but it seems like there should be a way to delete/modify the sound.)

Thanks,

Steve Hawley

Select the text object, look at the actions - the sounds are played by Pre-Hide and Pre-Show actions. These are normal actions and can be edited and deleted as normal - the QuickBuild button simply creates the actions for you.

Hi Duncan,

I see.... Then there must be a problem with Opus....

The organizer lists two different sounds, while the object-action itself only shows one sound (with an On Show trigger).

I assumed that the second sound had something to do with the QuickBuild procedure; obviously it doesn't.

If I delete the On Show sound, then the second sound is still present in the Organizer, and I have no way of deleting it, and I keep getting the
Missing Resources error.

So far, my only recourse is to use the Resource Manager to Clear that resource. The sound still shows in the organizer, but at least I'm not continuing to get the Missing Resource error.

Is there any way to remedy this ? I spent several hours dealing with this
problem, and I'm sure it's not meant to operate this way.

Thanks for your help.
