An intermittant problem, with no clear cause (to my eyes at least!).

The text on my buttons has a habit of moving upwards by about a line. until only the botom half is visible. The active clickable area stays in place and it still works fine. It afflicts whole pages or multiple pages in the same pub. Any ideas what the cause might be. 90% of the time everything works fine, 10% of the time I get to look like an idiot!

This has only happened in the first few publications I made in Opus, but I am not doing anything different now so I'd still like to find out what the problem is.

I'd attach an example, but as I said it's not reproducable!

Peter

Hi Peter

If you use the arrow keys to place the text cursor before the first letter of all text in the button's name (cursor to top, left), this should solve the issue.

The button's text field has the capacity to go beyond the button's visible margins, so you need to get the text properly situated. The same happens in text boxes when you enter over-flowed text. Same remedy.

Kind Regards,

Occasionally you may accidentally have extra Spaces or even Returns at the end of text which can cause OPUS to try to vertically center the entire text you've entered. This is especially common if you've done a Copy & Paste into a Text Object or Button.

Always go to the end of misbehaving text, and highlight the area after the text, then do a Delete.

Also, I always have OPUS automatically size Text Objects of Fit. I've found if I manually try to adjust the size of a Text Object, it may clip edges when Published. This maybe what's happening in your case.
