Has anyone come up with a difinitive solution to laying out a publication page that produces a printed A4 form.

I am producing a publication that has to follow strict corporate appearance guidelines.

The publication user selects from a number of onscreen options and types in some user information and on completion prints out an A4 8.1/4 (29cm) x 11.1/2 (21cm) checksheet.

The layout page used for the printed document is not seen onscreen.

I have tried various page dimentions Currently 2110 x 2970 and even placed an A4 sized image as a background but I still get odd print results.

I know that printer margins may affect output but not the alignment of objects on a page.

I guess I am missing something screamingly obvious but any offers will help

Try this:

Set the page size to 2480 x 3508 Pixels.

hi,

would it be possible for the print engine to be updated in future releases.

the current bitmap printing engine has it's limitations, especially for database type applications with lots of text and vector graphics. would like them to be automatically scaled up for the printer.
