Opus: Opus Pro 9
OS: Win 10/64
I often need to offer the same publication for offline and online use.

So I think it would be very useful to have the possibility to use only one publication for Opus standard output and for flex output.

E.g. if you like to access external files it would be a great enhancement if one could detect in which runtime environment the current publication runs and then decide if to open the external file via URL or local path.

Something like that:

if runtime = flex then
open URL
else
open local path

I'm sure there are a lot of other things which could be distinguished in this way.

The whole thing would disburden the developer from the need to create and maintain two different publications for offline and online use.

That has my vote.

I normally make two publications for everything: an exe for the Windows lot and a Flex for the Mac and Linux people. Being able to produce both versions from a single publication would be great.
