Thanks for pointing out the "Purge" feature of OPUS. I've never used it, so I did a search in Help to learn about how it works. It mentions a "Purge Resources Panel" which shows the files it will delete. Is your icon there? If so, then just un-select it before pressing "Do Purge."
I'm sure this was a feature added with the best intentions, but personally, I'd prefer to control what resources are saved or deleted. Under "My Documents" I've created "My Clients." Each client then has a sub-directory, under which I have more sub-directories for Scan, Images, Photos, Resources, Documents, Voice Overs, whatever I need for that project.
When the project's done, I copy or move the entire client's folder onto my backup HD, and burn a data DVD. When I do more work for that client, I copy the folder back under My Clients. Hard drive space is so cheap today, it's better/safer to save/keep things than to delete/regret. I just saw a 500GB external USB HD for $291 (USD) at TigerDirect.com. When the Purge feature was created, hard drive space was probably limited and expensive. It always seems I need a file about a week after I've deleted it, so I've elected to save most images I collect for a project.
Hope this helps. Welcome to the Forum!
