Maybe this is a silly question, but I still don't know a way to maintain the enabled/disabled state of an object (located in a master page) when changing pages. Every time I load a page all object states are reset, no matter what. I can use variables to store states, but in this case all disabled objects will "flash" briefly when a new page is selected. Is it just me, or it's about time Opus Pro objects receive a "maintain state between pages" check box? Or am I missing something very basic here?

Pages using a master page use a new copy of a master page each time - it is not the same page, so states are not "saved". Your solution with variables is really the only way to do it. You can hide the update with a frame that hides itself shortly after being shown for example.

Another alternative is to use a single page with a multi-frame that covers the whole page. Put the contents of your "pages" in frames of the multi-frame and then navigate through those rather than real pages. That way any background objects behind the multi-frame and their states remain the same throughout.

Thanks. I'll use the frame technique and see the results. However it would be really great if Opus Pro objects had a "maintain state between pages" check box. This would save (no pun intended) a lot of time for us developers. Isn't that feasible?
