I have just opened a project that I have been working on only to find that some pages seem to have become transparent - at least they exhibit the transparent chequer board pattern. They were originally (and still are) linked to a master page. The master page displays OK.

Strangely, when you load up the affected page it is scrolled virtually off the screen. All the objects are there but you cannot see them, but you can edit their properties.

Very strangely, when you preview the publication it works as it should!

Has something become corrupt or am I loosing the plot?

Regards

My suggestion does not quite fit your list of symptoms but have you tried a right click on one of the objects in the editing panel (R/H panel) and checking out the "View" feature at the top of the menu? Maybe something there has been changed.

Thanks for your reply Phil.

I have looked at this again this evening and by a process of elimination have found that one of the graphic objects was causing the problem. Once deleted the page and its contents reappeared. Actually, it was a graphic that I had already deleted some time ago but unknown to me it still appeared as an object with nothing in it. Don't know why it did it or what was happening but I was just glad to get the publication back.
Interestingly, my backups all exhibited the same problem - but had been working previously - Odd?
