Windows Vista is now just around the corner, has anyone tested Opus publications (all types of exe: Windows, Full Screen, DirectX, Screensaver) on it?

I assume that DW have done some testing, as Beta2, RC1 and RC2 have been available for download since earlier this year. So what are the results?

Clients have been asking me about support for Vista and all I can say is, "it should work!"

Has anyone tested a very elaborate Opus publication (db, animations, browser, video) on Vista? Also has does the editor work with Vista?

I expect that DW will comment on this soon, but here are a few of my experiences with Vista.

I have tested all of the usual applications I use on Vista RC1, including Opus.
All of my Opus pub exe's, some of which are quite complex, run without problems so far.
I don't use video so cannot comment on pubs that use it.

cheers
Paul

Hi,

Tried out a large and extremely publiaction created with Opus 5.5 and one created with Opus 04. The publication contains complex vectors graphics, a lot of database interaction and many other features. It all worked fine without any issues.

The computer Vista RC1 was installed on was not that powerful a P4 1.6 GHz, 640 MB RAM, Geforce2 MX so it did not support Aero. I am unsure if Aero makes any differences to Opus publications.
