In an Opus Creator publication I have text that extends beyond the viewable area, so I've added a scrollbar so that users can scroll up and down.

What I'd really like to do is make different lines of the text clickable so that users can jump to different pages. Easy enough to highlight the text and add the action when it's just straightforward text on the page, but the addition of the scrollbar throws a complete spanner into the works.

Is it possible to do what I want?

Niall.

Enter all your text into a Text Object. Highlight the word(s) you want to link, then do a RIGHT mouse click. Select "Create Hypertext". You will see an Action tab window with a Trigger of "Left Mouse Click" already added. Go into Actions on the right, and select "Go to Page" (or whatever other Action you want performed). Click OK, and you will see your selected text is now underlined and in green. You have hyperlinked the text to another Page. Repeat as needed on additional text/links. These links will automatically scroll when the text is moved vertical or horizontal.

If you want a different color for your linked text, go to the Text Object's tab called "Text." Under "Text effect styles" (in the center of the window) you will see different options for when your text is in normal (green underline), highlighted (blue underline) or clicked (red underlined). Use the pull-down menus for each to make changes OR create a custom look. This will apply to ALL text effects in this Text Object.

That's fantastic, Fred - thanks so much. My mistake I think was in trying to add an action directly to a chunk of highlighted text, rather than actually treating it as a hyperlink and adding the action to that.
