Hello,

I use the launch action to open some pdf files. Everything works well on three different computers in my office.

Unfortunately one of my customers has problems on two of his machines. On these computers the pdf files are not opened.

The file association with acrobat reader on this machines seems to be OK, because it is possible to open the pdfs via doubleclick in windows explorer.

I wonder if one of you has had a similiar problem belonging pdf files?

T.

Do a search of this forum on PDF. There was a discussion of a freeware software which allows you to run PDF files without the normal Acrobat reader.

demofred, thanks for your reply. I have already tested this software and it works very well. Unfortunately the user interface is english which my customers do not understand.

Since the opus function works on most computers I would be glad if can find out what the reason for this behaviour on some machines is.

Please share with us what computers and operating systems you are having these problems with. I'm wondering if they are low power, old machines, using an OS prior to XP, that possibly all the machine's resources are being used to run your OPUS Pub. If you wait a long time waiting for the PDF file to appear, will be finally show? Acrobat seems to require more and more resources with each new version, and it takes longer and longer to display a PDF file, even on my f-a-s-t computer. This is the reason I am suggesting you try another software package to display the PDF files. The one I tried opened quickly compared to Acrobat.

Hope this helps.
