It's a sad day for me. I just visited the Internet site I have gone to several times a day for at least 4 years, and learned it is closing. John Eccker, who was a pioneer with the original Illuminatus, created his own help board (www.illuminatusforum.com) years ago. He would help people learn to use Illuminatus back in the days when it was a really tough product to learn.

Over the years, others joined his "regulars" and helped all the newbies. It was a great family. Back then, the DW site took several minutes to materialize, especially if you had a dial-up modem. John's board was much easier to access, so it became the place where everyone went for help. Even the DW super techs/developers were regulars in helping people there. It was great.

John Eccker has changed jobs, and no longer uses OPUS, but he continued to operate the board for the rest of us. What a great guy!!!

So now that DW has a world class Message Board which you can access, I guess it was only a matter of time before this new mental meeting place became the "site of choice." John made the announcement today his site is closing for new postings. He's going to keep it open as a reference. That's certainly "above and beyond the call of duty."

Let's hear it for John Eccker! I can't thank you enough! :D

Over the past 4 years I have gained immeasurably from the help I received from John's forum. It eased my way into Opus.

I believe that without the help I obtained from this board, it is unlikely that I would be using Opus today.

Many many thnks for a great contribution.

I heartily agree with Fred. John has been a ray of sunshine in all things Opus related. He is a good reason why things like the Internet succeed so well.
