I am developing a small training package for a client, the training will use a lot of right mouse clicks. The client would like the package to be delivered as "Flash" accessed via a web browser rather than a standalone .exe.

However, the right mouse appears to be disabled when I select Flash as an output format, I know that when you right click on a Flash movie, you will normally get details of the Flash file displayed, rather than triggering another action.

Does anyone know of a solution, so that then a right mouse click is used to trigger an event it works correctly?

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of is a workaround. I don't think you can bypass the Flash menu popping up.

You could always have them trigger a left click and then bring up a dialog that says "Do you want to use your left or right mouse button?". Then depending on how they answer it's correct or incorrect.

This way you can check for both location and the correct mouse button usage.

Hi Peter

When publishing a Flex pub, while in the publication wizard, under "Settings, "Options" tab," there is an option to uncheck the "Disable Right-Click Menu." I wonder if this would help?

Kind Regards,
