Can i ask why the forum layout hasnt been changed? it isnt very eye catching. many templates are online for free by searching google or make a new one, it isnt that hard.

I couldn't care less about templates. The forum works fine.

The default phpBB colour scheme somewhat fortuitously matches the DW colour scheme so we've left it "as is".

I think the forum is fuctional and is easy to use. You can see at once which posts or replies are new.

Keep it that way ! :D

'dave' was pointing out that you can get different "themes" for phpBB that change the look without affecting the functionality; however we're pretty happy with the default look because it is the right colour blue! :)

I don't know what other themes there are, but I agree.. the forum looks great.

It is easy to use and uncluttered.

Excellent! :D

Hi there
I believe that in this case functionality is more important than "sex appeal" (he he!).
Seriously, a forum is worth not because it looks nice but because is functional: easy to navigate, to post, to receive help, etc.
This forum does exactly that, so leave it as it is please...
Merry Xmas for all you guys! I am closing the shop from today till around the 5 january. I am planning to stay away from computers as much I can.
Cheers
German

We have looked a other themes to add to the forum, the draw back with adding lots of themes is every time you add one you need to edit all the pages and check and configure all the mods (add files etc.) At present we are busy testing SR3 amongst other things and I'm sure you will agree that this takes priority.

I really wasn't trying to sound rude. I was just saying that to install other layouts isn't hard. I do agree that it is an easy to use layout and is very functional.

sorry if I offended any visitors

Dave.

For me the forum layout is highly functional. It is logically arranged and can be navigated quickly and easily. One of the big pluses is that it is consistent and has good contrast between the background and the text. It seems that too many forums (and web sites) forget that a dark text on a light background or a light text on a dark background is much easier to read. Furthermore, I appreciate the absence of the variety of colors and fancy artwork which might be appropriate for a presentation but not for a forum.

Excellent work -- keep it up. (Now, if we can only get some keyboard shortcuts added to Pro 05!)

http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo.php

Top of page is a selector for demo styles available.

I don't mind the standard one. I think a bit of individuality doesn't go astray either.
