I'm going to make a very simple app. for use with some disabled children.
I want to show a video file in a window while a key is pressed down (e.g. Space), and video is paused when I release the same key.
I've made this and it always works at the first keypress and release, but then my small app. freeze. :( Somebody here knows why, I think.

If it's possible, I also want a timer that pause the video after 5 seconds even if the key (Space) is NOT released.

Hope for a positive response.

Hi Bjarte

I might be able to help with the first question ...
If you are using .wmv video files you will have this problem because .wmv files are designed as streaming viedeo files and don't like being stopped and started. Are you using such a format?
I had the exact same problem last year. The answer came from DW themselves. The solution was to use a different format such as .avi

Hope this helps
Phil

Thanks for answering.
I've tried both AVI and WMV, and both of the freeze the app, then trying to run. Both video files run well under Windows Media Player, but not in Opus. Could anyone make a little app. that work (on your PC) and send this to me so I can see if it's working here.

Thanks in advance. :D

Balnes,

If I understand what you are trying to achieve.

You will have to change the path and name for the video file.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
