My next question to everyone!:
I am not sure what its called which might make this more complicated! You know when your mouse hovers over something - for example a picture, and a little box appears with a caption in next to your cursor. Is there anyway I can do this in opus and what is it called for future reference

Thanks!

That allows me to change my cursor but I still can't work out how to get a little text box to come up when hovering!

In the 'old days' I think that was called balloon help.

I've mimmicked this by creating a Text Object (TextHelp1) and make it initially hidden. You can use Draw tools and border options to tweak the look.

Then do as BW replied. Hotspot action... MouseOver ( = hover) and Show() TextHelp1. You need a MouseExit and Hide() also.

Are you referring to 'mouseover'?
in which case---

create a text object. In object inspector select the text object. right click...select properties. Select general and tick the 'initially hidden' tick box. What you have done is create a text object which will be hidden when the program starts.

Now create another object---say a button. Select the object ..right click and select 'edit actions'....then select the 'trigger' tab.
look down the list of triggers and select 'mouseover' by double clicking on it. You will see the mouse over trigger attached to the button in the left pane. The right pane will now show 'actions' select 'show' by double clicking it and you will be presented with a list of objects, one of which will be the text item created above. Tick the text tick box.
What you have done is create a mouseover for the button which will display the text when someobe puts the mouse over the button!!! easy. In the same way--you have to hide the text when the mouse exits the button. This can be done for any pair of objects.
